Gator Raid has some tricky stages, but is an overall good time with some nice mechanics, solid controls(joystick aside), and I really liked the boss fight and its music.
Hey, I played it, fun game! I noticed that the restart screen tells me to "press fire to restart", but doesn't react to it at all. I was restarting with arrows instead.
Hiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^
-The idea of the game is really good and overall it feels pretty solid as a game.
-The gameplay mechanics are well chosen and the level design is quite good, but IDK why but I felt that the controls just fall a little bit behind when it comes to responsivenes respect to the rest of aspects on the game (speaking of polish).
-The visuals are pretty cleverly done and I really like them ^^
Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)
Hi! glad you liked our game, I agree with you that level 2 is way too hard i struggle with it myself. I didnt realize the browser version doesnt save, I've tested the Windows build mainly but we had other people play test in chrome, and the issue didnt come up before, i'll see if there is something i can do to fix this for after the rating is completed. Thank you for your feedback!
My only nitpicking would be with the controls (I played with a gamepad). I feel for a 2d retro game, being able to move with the d-pad would've felt more natural that the left stick (why not both ?) and shooting with B made it very hard to jump and then shoot since the jump is a hold, having the shoot on Y (left facing button) would've made it easier to jump and shoot with my thumb.

Good job, devs. This was a really fun and challenging platformer. The controls were very responsive and the visuals were nice. Keep up the great work!

I like the effort to make the controls redefinable. That way nobody can complain xd I gotta check this game out more
space for jump is very stupid option.

lovely game , just up my street but level 2 is way too hard - its a massive leap in difficulty from the first one .
Cool game ! Love the art and the general vibe.
